...realizing that I could really afford it with ease after all even with the payments for my sick toolbox that didn't get delivered yet *sigh*. Seriously, I can't find these anymore!

Hmm what makes this year so special?
Is LE not a normal option package for new Miatas?
sorry I know diddly squat about NCs XD

The 2006 model had a red interior, the chrome on the A pillar, the front air dam and the foglights and the gas door with all the equipment of a fully loaded GT model. Of course they had beautiful rims that came with them. There's a special plate in the center console with the car's number. They only came in red also. I think it was a one year thing because of the launch of a new generation of Miatas. Anyone can correct this?

Interesting...
I guess the special part makes sense - I forgot that this was the first year of the NC.
I don't really like the chrome windshield trim but the wheels are pretty nice.
Besides the NA BBS basketweaves, I think these below may be my favorite Miata wheels ever - though I've never seen em in real life. Apparently they're from the 2002 SE.

2006 LE is a nice piece.
And I agree... the two tone interior, wheels, and the chrome surround windshield... nice touches.
I usually like contrasting windshield frames on convertibles... goes with the fact that the roof isn't the same color as the body, either.
I just wish the NC had the coke-bottle curves of my NB Miata... rather than looking like a bar of soap with fender flares added on. But I like the size, and the fact that the top folds outside-up when stowed, without a tonneau cover needed.

There there, just save up for the FM II turbo kit and you can swallow those tears of letting the NC LE slip through your hands. . .

That model used to be the one I wanted with the exact color, but not the tupperware ground effects. I found the cleanest one I ever seen for 13000$ but for that price, I think it's a crack pipe.

In a positive or negative context?
I hope I didn't kill your want for one. They are good cars.
I would still drive an NC Miata, and probably fit better in it, but part of me would miss the coke-bottle curves of the NB (99 classic red) that I have now.
I am driving it in the winter, while my wife drives the AWD car, since she commutes before sunrise, and it is a great car... but I wouldn't mind a bit more room (I am 6'2"), and the idea has crossed my mind to look for a hard top for it.
But a 2006 LE would be a special car. Velocity Red Mica is a great color, and I like the chrome windscreen frame... but then again, I like MGs and other old roadsters that have alloy or polished windshield frames that bolt to the body.

I can agree with you on not being a huge fan of that bodykit... and also $13k for an NB Miata being a crackpipe. Couple grand too high, but that yellow is realllllll nice.
That SE I think only came in yellow if I recall what I read last night.

I'd be scared to drive mine not because of the traction, but because of salt. The body is clean and it would hurt me to see some rust on it.

I know...
we have kept it out of the winter for the most part of the last 8 years or so, but the SVX is down, and the Miata is all that is left. I do need to wash it soon, also.
We do car-pool in the AWD car, though on days where the roads are actually bad. The miata mostly sees dry, albeit cold, pavement.

There was vivid yellow (like sunburst yellow from the NA) also, only 239 were made. The SEs yellow is just too beautiful tho, like a creamy yellow.
